70s Drinks and cocktails list
The seventies was a great decade for drinks and cocktails. Many new cocktails was invented in the 70s. Especially with the disco era drinks and cocktails became mainstream.
We have made a list of the 12 most famous cocktails and drinks in the 70s, for you to enjoy and use.
Daiquiri
2 oz white rum
1/4 - 1/2 oz sugar syrup
3/4 oz lime juice
Shake well over ice cubes in a shaker, strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and serve.
Screwdriver
1.5 oz Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka
6 oz orange juice
Add Smirnoff No.21 Vodka in ice-filled glass and top with orange juice.
Manhattan
1 oz Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch whisky
0.5 oz sweet vermouth
Add Johnnie Walker Black Label and sweet vermouth. Mix and serve in martini glass.
Gimlet
1.25 oz Tanqueray gin
1 oz Rose's lime juice
1 twist lime
Pour the gin and lime juice into a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the lime wedge.
Grasshopper
3/4 oz green creme de menthe
3/4 oz white creme de cacao
3/4 oz light cream
Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.
Stinger
1 1/2 oz brandy
1/2 oz white creme de menthe
Shake ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.
Mint Julep
4 fresh mint sprigs
2 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
1 tsp powdered sugar
2 tsp water
Muddle mint leaves, powdered sugar, and water in a collins glass. Fill the glass with shaved or crushed ice and add bourbon. Top with more ice and garnish with a mint sprig. Serve with a straw.
Sidecar
3/4 oz triple sec
1/2 oz cognac
3/4 oz lemon juice
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
Pink Lady
1 1/2 oz gin
1 tsp grenadine syrup
1 tsp light cream
1 egg white
Shake ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.
Rob Roy
1 1/2 oz Scotch whisky
3/4 oz sweet vermouth
Stir ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.
Scarlet O'Hara
2 oz Southern Comfort® peach liqueur
6 oz cranberry juice
1 lime wedge
Pour 2 oz. Southern Comfort over ice in an 8 oz. glass. Fill with cranberry juice. Squeeze one wedge of lime into drink. Stir and serve.
Alexander
2 cl gin
2 cl creme de cacao
2 cl cream
Shake all on Ice and strain into a Cocktail Glass.
